On Saturday I returned to one of my favourite Cheshire venues, Sandhole Oak Barn

Katie and Pauls First Dance

to help Katie and Paul Davies celebrate their wedding day. Sandhole is an idyllic wedding venue set on the side of a lake near Congleton. On Katie and Pauls wedding day it was great to work along side some of the best Wedding suppliers in The UK, top photographer Jonny Draper who I must congratulate on reaching the regional finals of The 2013 Wedding Industry Awards, Annette and the team at Top Table Weddings and Events and the fabulous The Coolers Party Band.

Katie and Pauls Wedding did not nearly happen though, when speaking to Paul at the end of the night he told me that Katie whilst cleaning threw a small packet away,in the small packet was Pauls wedding ring! As rings are made to measure Katie and Paul spent the day before their wedding day hunting for a new ring that fit Paul, they ended up in a shop near Chester!

Having avoided a disaster with the rings the weather was perfect and Sandhole Oak Barn looked stunning for the new Mr And Mrs Davies. With the bride and grooms wedding breakfast which was supplied and served with ultimate precision by the Top Table Weddings and Events Team it was onto the night time reception. Katie and Paul had chosen Something About The Way You Look Tonight by Elton John which was performed by The Coolers for their first dance which went down very well with their guests.

Jonny Draper worked hard through-out the day and night capturing every memorable moment possible,I look forward to seeing some of the pictures he took. The night was in full swing by now as I worked in unison with the band taking over from them when they stopped for a break and introducing them back onto the stage again. After The Coolers had finished it was up to me to keep the party going and motivate guests into getting up and having a dance. On this occasion that was easy to do,I even got the bride and her guests on the floor rowing to Oops Upside Your Head by The Gap Band.

With the night drawing to an end I invited everyone on the dancefloor to join in with the Bride and Grooms final song of the evening which was We Are Young by Fun. As Katie and Paul were flying off to Mexico for their Honeymoon and all their guests were in a circle I saw the chance to end the note on a real high,I quickly put on the The Mexican Hat Dance and got guests in the circle to join in with a Mexican Wave for the bride and groom.

A very different end to a day full of memories for Katie and Paul whom I wish health, wealth and happiness for the future life together as Mr And Mrs Davies.
