On Friday I had the pleasure to work alongside Local Legends SkaFace
at Paul Parrys Retirement Party. Paul had worked all of his working life in the Fire Service and it was time for him to hang his boots up and get his gardening business up and running, Paul and some of his mates are massive fans of late 70s Ska/Punk music and had hired SkaFaceto entertain his guests for the main part of the evening.
I played background music whilst guests arrived which included introducing various speakers who presented Paul with various gifts also saying a few words about him. Paul also said a few words…well about twenty minutes worth of stories about his times with the Fire Service.
It was then time to bring on SkaFace,a massive 10 piece Ska Band whon not only play covers but who have just released their own Cd entitled That Difficult First Album which is available if you click on the title I have just put up. SkaFace played some great party songs like Tom Hark as well as Wooly Bully which really got the crowd going. Skaface were brilliant, I can highly recommend them for any corporate functions or if you require a high quality party band for your wedding. I got to finish the night off with Billy Idols White Weddingwhich was dedicated to Pauls wife. A great party night was had by all,I wish Paul the best of luck for the future and to SkaFace who I am sure I will meet again real soon.
